Poetry Collection #2: “Untitled #1”, “Move Over Sisyphus” and “Mom” – http://wp.me/p6tvFw-85
Currently, on Netflix, I just start watching the show called Magnificent Century. Noticeably, the music and the backgrounds reminds me of Queen Seon Deok, a Korean drama that took place way back when in the Korean dynasty.
Magnificent Century takes place in the Ottoman Empire in the 16th century and is a tale about one of the Sultans who seemingly helps the empire reign for 100 years. This show begins with a bunch of female slaves who are captured from modern day Poland, past-tense Russia who are sold to the Sultan and later put into a Harem. One of the concubines rise to power by having a son with the Sultan and overthrowing the 1000-year-old tradition of the Sultan having multiple concubines. At first, it is confusing because the Turkish series has a lot of subtitles. You need to guess if the English translations are accurate.
In this show, each series ends during a serious conflict. The conflicts keep on growing in the order of a narrative profluence and one cannot really guess what is the next step that the concubine Hurrem must take. However, you will find that there is one episode in the first series where Hurrem goes crazy because her son almost dies in a fire. The sultan later condemns her and scolds her before he goes to war. The question is with all the good that she is doing for the kingdom, will the Sultan ever give his affection to her again after she accused the first prince of setting a fire to children’s’ playroom? Here you can see that a level of crises is at an all-time high at this point.
Overall, I am a very busy person so as I am watching the show, I am constantly falling asleep. Perhaps if the Turkish people could write a novel, then I could see the dramas unfold while I am most alert. In addition, I think that the issues and crises that Queen Seon Deok presents seem similar. One can see that in the Ottoman Empire, religion seems to be more one-on-one rather than any one person who oversees the church which to me decreases some of the necessary drama that the show needs.
You should most definitely believe that your work can evolve.
I’ve mentioned last week I’m writing a post-apocalypse themed short story. I also brought up how it was another attempt at an idea I’ve tried before. Well, today is about that; It’s about rewriting. Yesterday marked the third iteration of the same story. I’ve been trying to manipulate it different ways but it still leaves me feeling disappointed.
In my first attempt, I thought I was onto something brilliant. I worked hours in editing, making sure things sounded exactly right. I toyed with the piece until I couldn’t see it for what it was. I sent it to my “beta readers”. They rejected it immediately. I broke the first writing rule you ever learn, “show, don’t tell.” I didn’t want to let the story go, so I shelved it.
In my second attempt, for all 2-3 weeks of it, I found I was hesitant to write. It carried the…

Koala Star: Tell me about Hanukkah?
Star Turtle: Hanukkah comes from the story of the oil of the temple that could last for one night, but the miracles of the God helped the oil last for eight nights. In Genesis, God said, “let there be light,” the day begins in darkness and ends in light from the Sun. Evening starts in darkness and born into light.
Koala Star: Why is it that in 2016 the beginning of Hanukkah is December 24th 2016?
Star Turtle: Because the Judean calendar is based on the moon. The Julian calendar is based on the Sun versus the Judean calendar is based on the moon. The moon cycle is based on the phases of the moon, from the full moon to the new moon.
If you look at the influence of the Julian calendar, the first day of Winter is on December 21st, 2016 until March, which is different for the Southern Hemisphere.
Christmas Eve was a wonderful day. Star Turtle and I went to my mother’s house to eat some fantastic Prime Rib cooked by my older brother. I also got to see my baby sister and her 3-month-old son Axl. I was pleasantly surprised when my mother and father gave me a gift just before I was about to leave.
Speaking of my loving parents, my parents always want what is best for me. They always give me warning signs throughout my life to protect me. They make that I have enough of anything that I really need and now I see the value in having loving parents. Other people have parents, who for whatever reason, disown them and really do not feel that they are responsible for their child’s well-being or maybe perhaps it is just a perspective.
Going back to the delicious menu, because the food was very delicious; on the menu, we had prime rib, noodles, rice, mushrooms, and garlic butter. Also, on the menu we had sashimi (raw fish) with shoyu. My sister’s mother-in-law brought a yellow cake from her own recipe collection that reminded me of cornbread because of the texture, but it was very delicious.
Forgive my rambling as this journal is to remain as open and as discombobulated as possible to show you how I think.
Star Turtle and I got some last-minute gifts in my tradition of buying things that match the person that I am buying the gift for.
The latest comments we got from purchasing last-minutes gifts were that we are “so thoughtful.” The funny part is that our thoughts and actions remain purely of Love and Affection for the person that we are buying the gift for. Star and I remain a team that only do things with serious intentions of Love.
I have learned that in life, one must prepare to do great things. Without preparation, disaster awaits and in the end, you are the only person who can change the way others think about you through your good deeds and actions.
People may make demands but control is not the way to progress.
So here is the scenario, although this may not be for everyone, I believe. If you have special loved ones like pet cats or dogs, who you would like to heal for whatever ailment that they may have, my recommendation, is to first say, “The Lord’s Prayer” to help and heal them:
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Then, keep on doing this prayer to open your Chakras as Star Turtle can attest too in her magical teachings.
Now, this not only opens the human Chakra but it opens your pet’s Chakra as I have found. The Chakra can best become described as the points of the body where the body can receive healing energy. Without having your Chakras open, then the healing powers of objects that you are using or even just the power of thought cannot open the healing gateway to the body and soul.
Next, light a rainbow Chakra candle and close your eyes to imagine the two pillars of power, according to Robert A. Ferguson in Psychic Telemetry while holding the pet, a simple hand on the pet will also assist in the healing ritual and spell. Concentrate on healing the part or parts of your pet that you feel are being negatively affected. Imagine a rejuvenation of cells and let nature take its course on the pet. A lot of modern medicine can help an ailing pet, but as my brother had said, it will be a 50-50 chance of healing. Now, I choose to believe in the positive 50% percent chance, which then turns into a 100% chance of healing and rejuvenation through prayer and candle magic.
If you have an ailing pet, then try this ritual, it is not hard because all you need to do for it to work is to pray, light a candle, and think of all the future joy and love you and your pet will enjoy for years to come. Also, think about the joy that your pet can bring to the world and how it makes sense that your pet will help others to appreciate and love all creations of God.
Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you so much for reading my blog this year. At http://thefernia.com, https://naluahi.wordpress.com, and our other blogs and product websites, we cherish our friends and family dearly. During the Holidays, whether it be working hard to create capital for a new Hawaiian based Occult Store online or just doing continuous improvements to our spectacular website, we know the importance of family. We are lucky to have our immediate family and extended family, who support us in all that we do.
I would like to mention a few people for if it was not for them, our dreams would never have been born. Thank you to Randy Nalu Nunies and Cecilia Pualani Nunies. Thank you to Cheryl Renee Hahne and Clyde Eugene Hurst. Thank you to R. Kaikala Lau-del Rosario and J. S. Kamealoha Lau del-Rosario. Thank you to Sarah Nykole del-Rosario. Also, thank you to all the others that I did not mention for without the culmination of all your feedback, Fernia would not possess the wings that it currently flies on.
Today, you should take the time, on this Holy Day to think about how you can help people though knowledge, skills, attributes, or even in their philosophies, which helps that potentially empowered individual to change their life for the better.
Spend time with your family and cherish every moment.
In life, I learned that the people you help will be the people that help you.

Today, I woke up made coffee.
Smoked a cigarette.
Got ready for work.
Then, came to work to face a crazy busy day.
Saturday is a day of sleep and catching up on homework to better my craft of writing.
To move my novel further along.
Contrary to popular belief, a prayer is a spell. When you pray for someone, to God, or even the Blessed Virgin Mary, you pray to a higher power, a higher power than you; who can fulfill your every wish and desire, not command. We all say prayers when we have run out of luck, time, or even hope.
As you tell yourself coping statements throughout the day, you are putting your thoughts into effect. As you pray aloud, you are putting the thoughts into words in the world for everyone to follow. As the universe follows and God hears you, sometimes your prayers will be answered.
My cousin is experiencing some hexing from her eldest sister. As a person who believes that thought equals power, I prayed for my house to be protected. I pray for protection around me. I WILL it into play with power that I believe in. I also pray to God for the safety of people who send us, my family, or myself anything negative.
Here is my advice. If you feel like someone is bothering you, whether it be metaphysical or physical harassment.
I recommend these benevolent steps:
- Get some rope.
- Light a candle.
- Tie knots into that rope.
- Recite quietly or aloud the ways in which that person cannot NOT harm you.
- At the end focus on a candle and visualize the Pillars of Power of your Genie to wish good to come to the person trying to harm you.
In the end. You must wish GOOD to others. You want to create a bubble of LOVE that surrounds the Earth from the moon and back to promote everlasting love and kindness.
So Mote it Be.
